Enameling is an ancient art form applying powdered glass to metal and firing it by fusing in a kiln or with a torch. Learn to sift, stencil, stamp and appliqué enamel to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Cloisonné involves designing with silver wire using transparent enamels on fine .999 silver. Students are asked to bring a simple line drawing for their design on a 1.25" round silver disk to either be fashioned as a pendant or charm, or to be inset in a handmade wooden box (sold separately). This class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced students wishing to build upon skills.
