Sweater Mug Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Dates: Sunday, February 8
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $50 includes all materials 
Curious about pottery and if you would enjoy taking one of our multi week courses? Come learn how to make a mug using hand building techniques in the Featherstone pottery studio! This two hour workshop will teach students of any experience level how to construct a ceramic mug decorated with a cable knit pattern. At the end of class, students will have the opportunity to select a glaze finish (mugs will be fired and glazed for students by Sabrina and will be available for pick up three weeks later). 
 
Mini Bust Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Date: Sunday, March 1
Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $70 includes all materials
Using hand building techniques you will make a small scale bust. The instructor will use an oxide technique to finish students' work. If you wish to work further on your pieces you can discuss continuing in open studio. Some hand building experience recommended.
 
Hand Built Bowl Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Date: Sunday, March 22
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $50 includes all materials
Come have fun in the Pottery Studio and learn how to make your own bowl from clay using hand building techniques. In this beginner friendly one day workshop, you will learn how to hand form a clay bowl, either stamp or carve a surface design, and will have the opportunity to select a glaze finish (bowls will be fired and glazed for students by Sabrina and will be available for pick up three weeks later).
 
Coil 101 Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Date: Sunday, March 29
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $50 includes all materials
In this class we explore the fundamentals of coiling. Coiling is a handbuilding technique that involves making "snakes" of clay and coiling them over each other to build nearly any shape you want. Though relatively simple, the vast possibility of styles and applications possible, from delicate and decorative to functional and structural, make this a construction method one that takes hours to learn and years to master, but is never not satisfying to create with. 
 
Gnome Sculpture Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Date: Sunday, April 12 & Sunday, April 26 (glaze class)
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM each class
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $90 for each two part workshop, includes all materials
Come create your own mini sculptural piece in theis two part workshop. Gnomes!! Cute, magical, and full of personality. In the first class we will use basic hand building techniques to construct a garden gnome of your very own. The first class is constructing your sculpture and part two of this workshop is a guided glazing class for understanding and using underglazes to add color and details to your piece. 
 
Cat Sculpture Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Dates: Sunday, April 19 & Sunday, April 26 (glaze class)
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM each class
Location: Pottery Studio
Fee: $90 for each two part workshop, includes all materials
Come create your own mini sculptural piece in theis two part workshop. During the first class you will use a slab building technique to create your own feline sculpture!  The first class is constructing your sculpture and part two of this workshop is a guided glazing class for understanding and using underglazes to add color and details to your piece. Some hand building experience recommended.
 
Flower Vase Workshop with Sabrina Kuchta
Date: Sunday, May 3 (registration for April & May workshops opens 2/27)
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM

Curious about pottery and if you would enjoy taking one of our multi week courses? Try one of our two hour workshops, open to any experience level. In this new workshop during our Art of Flowers exhibit, students will make a vase in time for the flowering blooms of summer. Students will learn slab building techniques and experiment with using leaves and natural elements to create patterns and texture to construct a unique vase. At the end of class, students will have the opportunity to select a glaze finish (vases will be fired and glazed for students by Sabrina and will be available for pick up three weeks later).
