Come explore your creative side at Featherstone! ART NIGHTS are beginner friendly 2 hour evening workshops where you can try your hand at something new while enjoying a glass of wine or tea! These are fun classes to try different art mediums out, with friends or on your own - drinks included or bring your own! 

All Art Nights meet from 5:30-7:30PM unless otherwise noted (ceramics).

 

​ART NIGHT! Fiber: Better Basics: Learn to Knit with Zoe Thompson
Date: Tuesday, February 3
Time: 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Location: Art Barn Library
Fee: $60, includes all materials

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit? Come learn the basics - how to cast on and the garter stitch and begin either a scarf, cowl or square for a future blanket. Learn the fundamentals to get you going and have the skills to complete your at home, or come to an Assisted Open Knitting Studio. This fun 2 hour intro to knitting workshop includes everything you need to get started, needles and yarn and instructions.

 

ART NIGHT! Mixed Media: Valentines with Bricque Garber

Fee: $45, materials included 

Join us for a fun evening where you will be able to create beautiful, custom cards for Valentine's Day with artist Bricque Garber! We will supply blank cards for you to create your own personalized artful pieces. Pick from Bricque's collection of paper clippings or bring your own photographs, ribbon and papers if you choose to create your own mixed media Valentines. You will leave with a set of cards with envelopes. ​

 

ART NIGHT! Ceramics: Mug Making with Sabrina Kuchta

Curious about pottery and if you would enjoy taking one of our multi week courses? Come learn how to make a mug using hand building techniques in the Featherstone pottery studio! This two hour workshop will teach students of any experience level how to construct a ceramic mug. At the end of class, students will have the opportunity to select a glaze finish (mugs will be fired and glazed by Sabrina and will be available for pick up three weeks later). 

ART NIGHT! Jewelry: Stamped Ring Workshop with Ivry Russillo
Date: Thursday, March 12th
Time: 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Location: Jewelry Studio
Fee: $45, materials included

Students will learn how to measure using a traditional ring gauge and cut a piece of sterling silver metal sheet to size using the metric system. You will be introduced to soldering, which is an essential part of jewelry fabrication, and the ring bands will be decorated with letter and design stampings. Students will learn how to use a jewelers saw to cut the proper length, and will then file, sand, solder, stamp and polish to create a one of a kind ring. Beginners welcome, ages 18+.
