In this one day workshop students will be introduced to the basics of painting (oil or acrylic) including fundamental techniques and working with color. This workshop is geared towards beginners looking to explore painting for the first time.

- Recommended Paints: Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Medium, Ultramarine Blue, Thalo Blue, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Yellow Pale, White (or just 2 different red, 2 blue, 2 yellow and a white).
- 4 to 6 brushes (from 1/2" to 2").
- palette, (painting medium for oils and turp or brush cleaner).
- 140 lb. paper or canvases or boards no larger than 12x16 inches
