​Charcoal Drawing: Exploring the Still Life with Katherine Gagnon
Days: Mondays
Dates: Session 1: July 10, 17, 24, 31 // Session 2: August 7, 14, 21, 28
Time: 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Art Barn Drawing Studio
Fee: $260 per 4 class session, includes materials
Taught through the lens of 2D design, students will learn drawing techniques with practice through still life set ups. We will use “gesture warm ups” to gain an understanding of form and mass. This is a hands on course with "learning by doing" as motto." Bring objects to life by discovering your own visual voice and drawing language. Concepts addressed: contour, figure/ground relationships, scale, value, proportions and placement and composition. Course designed for beginners through intermediate to advanced. One on one critique and feedback from the instructor provided in each class.
Young adults welcome.
